How to iron a shirt to impress at a job interview without burning it? If you get to hot –you can not take off your blazer/jacket or the burned spot will show.

Reply:

I have a simple way to iron shirts, I learned when I was 19.
First of all do not put your iron on the highest heat setting. Read your label on the shirt you intend to iron and set your
iron according to and the label. If steam is required, please fill
your iron with water and set your iron on the steam setting.
Now, the easiest way to iron a shirt—–

Garment Steamer?!?!?

Camia Asked:

I really want a garment steamer, I saw one at Macys.com it is the brand Conair? Does anyone have one??? Any brand, your suggestions, is it worth it??? Thanks!

Reply:

i have one for years, its easier than dragging out iron and board, and works great on delicate fabrics, hanging curtains, etc. any brand is good, just dont’s let mineral deposites build up onthe core, it lessens the heat and strength of steam coming out.

Nora Asked:

I know how to iron proficently with a regular iron. I bought a iron press to save time but I can not press with it. It has a video but who has a VCR these days? Best answer gets 10 points!

Reply:

I’m sorry that I can’t help you with any instructions on how to use an iron press. I just can’t pass up the opportunity of expressing my delight that a man not only does his own ironing, but is proficient at it as well. I once gave my husband lessons in the arcane art of ironing – after two hours of trying, he’d managed one single T-shirt. Oh well, he has other fine qualities.

Which is the best steam iron?

Amalia Asked:

I need a best steam iron as I have 5 kids. I have tried several over the years – not very good. Can anyone recommend a good one??/

Rowenta, Euro Pro, Tefal: as long as it’s steam generated you’ll be happy.. Just don’t let hubby near it…lol

Have you tried? That’s always a good bit for finding hard-to-come-by parts. Good luck

Ironing………………..?

Carlotta Asked:

I hate ironing and only iron stuff that I really have to like shirts and jeans. Does anyone seriously ironing stuff like duvet covers, sheets, pants, socks, towels etc? Just wondering!

Reply:

I’m the same as you. Life’s too short to iron duvet covers! It’s not as if anyone ever sees them and you crush them anyway when in bed.

Ichoosetobeholy – I would love to chuck away my iron and board, never to iron again. How liberating! I think I would get the sack from work though – going in with a crumpled up uniform every day – lol!

Baby Asked:

Where in Manitoba can i get a bench press shirt/squat suit? I can’t seem to find a place here in Winnipeg that has them, and I was just wondering if there was a place or if I’d have to order one from the net?

Reply:

Your best bet probably is the net. Even if you find a place that has some, you wont have the selection or price you could get online.
