How to get rid of ironing marks on black dress pants? Should I dye them black?

I've a couple dress pants for work. Problem is the black is fading at specific parts, especially due to ironing. How can I restore the black colour? The rest of the pants are still ok, just only those certain parts that are affected, so it's a pity to throw them away. Should dye them black? If so, what would be a good way?

If the marks are just fading, dying them would work, yes. If the marks from scorching, dying them wouldn’t fix them.
If you decide to dye the pants, I recommend using Dylon™.
I do not recommend Rit™ Dye. I once dyed a pair of jeans with Rit and they turned my legs black every time I wore them — even after many washings. I finally just threw the jeans in the trash.

Once you have the pants back to black, wash in cold water and hang to air dry every time you wash them. This will help keep the color from fading.
