Is My Nopro Enamel Cast Iron Panini Press Oven Safe?

I have a Nopro Enamel Cast Iron Panini Press that needs to be seasoned. It has what looks to be a plastic handle on it but I'm not 100% sure and I'm afraid to put it in the oven and have it melt. I would check the packing instructions but unfortunately they were missing when I bought it. Does any one have any experience with this?

So….Do you really want to season it?
And using it as a bacon press makes it ‘not-just-another-kitchen-gadget’ – brilliant!
if it has a plastic handle id say its not oven safe. properly seasoned cast iron needs to be seasoned at 500 degrees F. not 350 like most people believe. you can cook bacon in it to season it also.
